Maintenance of Optical Disc Drives and Discs

The same cleaning kits you use to clean lenses in audio/video optical disc players can be used to clean lenses in computer drives. It is also helpful to spray the inside of the disc drawer with Blow Off or a similar air spray. Do not use any chemicals or solvents anywhere near a drive unless it is designed for it. Cleaning doesn’t need to be done often unless the computer is exposed to dust, tobacco smoke, or other pollutants.
